This year’s annual Annapolis Arts and Crafts and Wine Festival will be held on Saturday, June 4th from 10 AM to 6PM and Sunday, June 5th from 10 AM to 5 PM at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. This is located close to historic downtown Annapolis. This makes it convenient to also visit the waterfront that Annapolis is so famous for in their colonial setting. This area features many unique shops, restaurants and live entertainment.
The festival features a fun filled display of over 200 local artists’ creations of fine arts, photography, sculptures, jewelry, digital art, mixed media, fiber art, glass, wood, leather and metal art and handmade crafts. Annapolis is proud of their local artists and this is one of many of their favorite ways to showcase local artists’ creative work.
Annapolis was recently named one of the nation’s top 25 arts destinations in AmericanStyle magazine’s 12th Annual Arts Destination Poll, based on the commitment and high quality of the art festivals, events and local art galleries. Local art events are inspiring and well attended in Annapolis and well supported by locals and tourists alike.
The festival is also a popular event since it includes over 25 Maryland wineries featuring their own wine tasting in their wine pavilions.
It’s a great 2-day outdoor event highlighting smooth jazz throughout the festival. Wine bottles will be available for sale for attendees to relax with a glass of wine while listening to the many smooth jazz artists performing. Feel free to bring your own lawn chair so you can sit back and relax.
Of course it will include delicious food and fun activities for your family. Your kids will enjoy their own arts area including face painting, storytelling and a chance to participate on stage in theatrical, dance and musical performances.
