Produced by The Talent Machine Company (TMC), the musical promises to be a fun evening of entertainment for the whole family. The performances will run July 7-9 and 13-16 at St. John’s College Key Auditorium in Annapolis.

Plot

Based on the most successful film that Disney Channel Original Movie label ever produced, High School Musical revolves around Troy, Gabriella, and their friends in East High. They have to cope with the problems of high school romance, other students, and family while juggling classes and extracurricular activities.

On the first day of school after winter break, the Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians, and Skater Dudes reunite with their cliques, telling tales of their vacations while thinking about the New Year. Basketball team captain, Troy, learns that Gabriella, an intelligent girl he met while singing karaoke on a ski vacation, has newly enrolled at East High. When they decide to audition for the high school musical, their alliance results in an upheaval that threatens the status quo.

TMC History & Mission

Bobbi Smith founded The Talent Machine Company in 1987, and her dream was to provide youth the chance to express their talent, raise self-esteem, and develop teamwork through dedication and hard work. When Smith died unexpectedly in January 2001, the TMC family was devastated and left wondering if they could continue her wonderful work. Fortunately, Bobbi’s daughter, Lea Capps, and sister, Vicki Smith, have kept her dream alive since. For nearly 30 years, The Talent Machine Company has been entertaining audiences with delightful children’s theater. Numerous performers have become professional directors, choreographers, composers, dancers, and actors.
