Historic Inn, Lodging, AnnapolisYour eyes will be smiling at the 7th Annual Annapolis Irish Festival. Held on the 2nd and 3rd of June at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, the event will give you a taste of Ireland over a fun weekend. Come to this celebration whether or not you have a wee bit of Irish in you!

History

Founded in 2011, the Annapolis Irish Festival highlights Irish customs, traditions, music, and history. Regional and international Celtic bands, pipes & drums corps, step dancers, and other Irish performers will be showcased on three stages over two enjoyable days. The festival has been a success the past six years, gradually becoming a beloved Annapolis tradition.

New for 2017

Thirsty Irishmen will be overjoyed that Guinness will be served for the very first time. To acknowledge their service, first responders will join police and firefighters for the Friday Night Salute to the Military. Kids will be excited to discover new ways to play at Little Leprechaun Land. In case of rain, which makes the Emerald Isle so green, the Big Top tent will return, providing 26,000 square feet of shelter.

Music, Food, Crafts & Charity

In order to accommodate the Mass Pipe Band & Drum Competition on Saturday, the large tent located in the lower field will be replaced.  There will be a return of the Main Stage to the grass hill’s natural amphitheater, where fan favorites Gaelic Storm, Scythian, and many other Celtic bands will be showcased.

A great variety of vendors will offer Irish food, arts & crafts, exhibits, and workshops to provide an authentic “Irish Experience” to all attendees. Proceeds from the Annapolis Irish Festival will benefit Bello Machre and other local charities.
