hotel, Inn, AnnapolisOctober climaxes with Halloween, and going on the Special Historic Hauntings Tour of Annapolis will do justice to this spooky holiday. Annapolis Tours by Watermark will host these ghostly tours Friday & Saturday nights from October 6 to October 28, 2017. They are more frightening than the regular Historic Ghost Walk Tour of other months because an authentic haunted house will be visited.

Ghosts of Annapolis

When darkness falls on the historic district of Annapolis, a guide in period clothing will lead you by lamplight on a blood-chilling tour while telling ghostly tales. There will be yarns of watermen drowned at sea, men who fell to their doom, and trapped spirits of colonial women still dwelling in the grand 18th Century houses of their families. Faint footsteps made by shadows, beheaded ghosts travelling the night, a gravedigger eternally laboring, and innocent men hanging from gallows all make this evening an eerie one. You will also discover Arianna Jenning, whose apparition materialized beneath her painting in the Little Brice House only moments after she died in England. While Annapolis ghost tours are frightening, they are fun and silly, making the tour family friendly.

Haunted House

Special Historic Hauntings will provide an exclusive tour of the James Brice House at night. Guests will explore perhaps Annapolis’ most haunted home as the guide tells tales of ghosts who have haunted the building for centuries. Watermark’s guides keep the keys that allow entry after sunset to make sure no unfortunate soul is left trapped inside. When it is October, journey to Annapolis and take the Special Historic Hauntings Tour or you will be haunted forever by regret.
