Annapolis Crab Feast Arriving August 2019

The 74th Annual Annapolis Crab Feast (ACF) will be arriving Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis. Bring your appetite and good cheer for a party that will last from 5 to 8 p.m.

The Rotary Club hosts the festivities every year, and the ACF is known as being the largest crab feast in the world. This charitable event has raised over $1.5 million for a number of Chesapeake Bay regional community and cultural organizations since debuting in 1946.

As usual, the Annapolis Crab Feast will serve large and #1 male crabs, vegetable crab soup, beef barbecue sandwiches, corn on the cob, draft beer, and other beverages. For those that have a sweet tooth, the bake sale and cake raffle will make sure you are happy. You can contribute more to charities by buying a Crab Feast t-shirt and other souvenirs.

Crab Feast Statistics

From 2,500 to 3,000 people are anticipated to attend the 2019 version of ACF. Chefs will be cooking overtime because they estimate visitors will be dining on 350 bushels of crabs, 150 pounds of beef barbecue, 100 gallons of crab soup, and 3,500 ears of corn. They will also be thirsty, so hundreds of gallons of beer, soft drinks, and water will be available.

Event Rules

Whether rain or shine, the Annapolis Crab Feast will be held. The majority of dining areas are sheltered by tents in case of bad weather. Bringing your own drinks, coolers, containers, backpacks, and large bags won’t be allowed. The Rotary Club also requests attendees practice moderation by only taking the crabs they can eat and to lend a hand in recycling efforts at the feast.
