This well-renowned yearly show is scheduled for Saturday & Sunday, January 6 & 7, 2018. Attendees can also set aside part of the weekend to tour historic Annapolis and unwind from the stress of the holidays at America’s Sailing Capital on the Chesapeake Bay.

Bringing more than thirty established dealers and several hundred collectors mostly from the Mid-Atlantic region, this collectibles and antiques event will feature antique furniture, art, silver, prints, jewelry, paintings, china, porcelain, oriental rugs, clocks, jewelry and vintage glass. Whether it is a keen eye or kismet, collectors may find a valuable rare antique amidst the thousands of collectible items made available for sale by antiques dealers from throughout the country. Every item sold is guaranteed for authenticity.

Antique Basics

Beginners who would like to be more knowledgeable about collectibles and antiques may find the following very helpful. The word antique is derived from the Latin word antiquus, which means ancient or old. The typical antique is a collectible that is 100 years old or more.

As defined by Wikipedia, antiques are considered desirable because of their “age, beauty, rarity, condition, utility, personal emotional connection, and/or other unique features. It is an object that represents a previous era or time period in human society…Antiques are usually objects that show some degree of craftsmanship – or a certain attention to design, such as a desk or an early automobile. They are bought at antique shops, estate sales, auction houses, online auctions, and other venues, or estate inherited.”
