Annapolis has a prestigious symphony orchestra that has been performing since 1962. Under the musical direction of Jose’-Luis Novo, this 70- member symphony has a range of performances for all ages scheduled throughout the year. Their goal is to be known as the jewel of the orchestras in the Baltimore/Washington DC areas.
The Annapolis Symphony performs Classic Series and Educational concerts, Family concerts, Holiday Pops concerts and Summer Pops concerts in the park. They also join forces with the United States Naval Academy for two concerts each year. In addition they are a leader in the Arts in Annapolis with their concerts and educational programs for children and adults.
There are 2 art galleries inside Maryland Hall for your enjoyment before and after the concerts and during the intermission. There is also a cafe open before and after the concert as well as available during intermission.
Concerts are held at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts. Free parking is located at 801 Chase St. in Annapolis. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the scheduled performance or lecture. Late arrivals will be seated at the end of a musical section by the ushers so as not to disrupt the audience already seated and enjoying the concert.
Business casual is the encouraged attire to attend the concerts. Also the entire property in Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts is a SMOKE-FREE Facility. Smoking is PROHIBITED in and on the grounds of the building and on the properly.
