Gibson’s Lodiging – Trolley Tours Annapolis

Discover Annapolis through fun and informative trolley tours. Trolleys depart many times throughout each day from the Annapolis and Anne Arundel County. Conference and Visitor’s Bureau located at 26 West St. Tours last 1 hour and are narrated by your trolley tour guide who introduces passengers to 350 years of local history, architecture, the marinas and the charm and inspiration that makes Annapolis the great tourist attraction that it is today.

The tour passes through residential areas and the waterfront as well as the exterior of the United States Naval Academy, Maryland State House, and the governor’s residence.

Sights include:

▪           The Maryland State House

▪           St. John’s College

▪           Maryland WWII Memorial

▪           Handsome colonial mansions

▪           Beautiful Victorian homes

▪           Sailboats along the waterfront

▪           Spectacular water views from bridges

Things that you’ll learn include athletic programs and courses of study offered  at the United States Naval Academy.

You’ll hear  about the 1300 landmark historical buildings locate throughout Annapolis that represent over 300 years and 15 different styles of architecture.

You’ll see the Capitol Building, The Maryland House and learn about its rich history dating back to the 1700’s.

Trolley Tours are offered in public or private chartered tours, most of the year. Call ahead to plan a private group tour.

If an hour tour is too long, you could meet the trolley at the Historical Museum at 99 Main Street, which is at City Dock for a 40 minute tour. These tours are offered Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends.

One Hour Trolley Tours run April 1st through Thanksgiving weekend. Winter schedules  vary so it’s best to  call ahead for more information and current rates at 410-626-6000.  The trolleys do not operate on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas, and New Years Day.  Local Annapolis residents can ride for free on a first come, first served policy the day of the tour.
