The annual Annapolis Arts, Crafts, and Wine Festival has been re-branded for its 2017 edition, and it is now the Annapolis Arts & Wine Festival. To be held on June 10 and 11 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium, the festival returns for its eighth year featuring a revamped experience and retaining its status as one of the state’s most anticipated events.
The Annapolis Arts & Wine Festival celebrates both the region’s great artists and the vineyards of Maryland. It is a yearly outdoor festival that highlights the area’s fine art, handmade crafts, and wine produced by more than 25 Maryland wineries. There will be live entertainment from local musicians both days. It is a family-friendly event, and delicious food and activities for all ages will be available.
Partnership with the Arts
Working with the Arts Council of Anne Arundel County, the festival will introduce new features such as the artist pavilion, where the works of 10 top regional artists will be highlighted. Several hundred of the area’s artisans will have their handicrafts displayed for sale. Partnerships with the Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, Maryland Federation of Art, Future History Now, FINart, and the Annapolis Arts and Design Districts will let this year’s edition promote the vibrancy of the region’s flourishing arts community.
Wine, Food & Music
As in the past, the wineries of Maryland wineries will significantly contribute to the event by spotlighting the numerous varieties of wines produced in Maryland. In addition, the Maryland Mobile Food Vending Association will provide a new festival feature. There will be a food truck rodeo numbering 10 vehicles that will cater to hungry attendees. Live entertainment will also be offered by Naptown Music, which will manage the performances of local musical acts on the live stage during the two-day event.
