An American classic and Pulitzer Prize winner, Our Town is a three-act play by American playwright Thornton Wilder first performed in 1938. It tells the tale of the fictional American small town called Grover’s Corners between 1901 and 1913 through the everyday lives of its citizens.

Show: Foreplay and Fifth Annual Heart Health Foundation Benefit

Date: Saturday, February 11, 2017

“Join us for the 5th Annual Valentine’s concert to benefit the Heart Health Foundation and Dare to C.A.R.E. program. Make a date to enjoy an evening of FOREPLAY – a tribute to 70’s Rock! Named after the iconic instrumental piece to Boston’s Foreplay/Longtime, this local favorite cover band delivers the electric energy of the era. Show: Bigfoot – Elusive Jazz

Date: Sunday, February 12, 2017

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The Back Room of the 49 West is one of the coziest  with seating for up to 40 people, which would make a date more romantic, particularly over Valentine’s Day weekend. Renowned band Bigfoot will be playing their trademark “Elusive Jazz.”

Colonial Players

Show: Calendar Girls

Dates: Friday February 17 to Sunday, March 11, 2017

Time: 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The Colonial Players’ 68th season has been a “veritable roller-coaster ride of drama, comedy and delightful musical theater”, which will continue with a delightful play opening in mid-February. The setting is England for the charmingly funny Calendar Girls, wherein a local Women’s Institute pose nude for an “alternative” calendar to raise money for the local hospital.
