historic Inn, blog , Hotel, lodgingsMusic legend Graham Nash will be entertaining Annapolis at the Rams Head for one memorable night on February 27, 2018. “An Intimate Evening of Songs and Stories with Graham Nash” will revolve around his acoustic guitar and a repertoire from a lifetime as a world-renowned musician. Now 75, Graham Nash’s body of work is breathtaking as both a band member and a solo artist.

The Hollies and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young

As a member of The Hollies (1964 to 1968), his hit songs include “Carrie Anne,” “King Midas In Reverse,”  “Jennifer Eccles,” “Stop Stop Stop,” “On A Carousel,” and “Pay You Back With Interest.”

With Crosby, Stills & Nash, which eventually included Neil Young (CSNY), Nash composed “Marrakesh Express,” “Pre-Road Downs” (inspired by then-girlfriend Joni Mitchell), and “Lady of the Island,”, which were featured in the debut Crosby, Stills & Nash album in 1969. Nash’s immortal “Teach Your Children” and “Our House” are beloved songs from CSNY’s Déjà Vu album in 1970.

Nash has been inducted twice into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for his work with The Hollies and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Solo Artist and Crosby Partnership

As a solo artist, Graham Nash’s debut LP was Songs for Beginners (1971), and its best-knows songs are “Chicago/We Can Change the World” and “Military Madness”, which were inspired by the controversies arising from the Vietnam War.

The following year, Nash partnered with David Crosby on their simply titled album, Graham Nash/David Crosby. Nash shined with two songs, “Southbound Train” and “Immigration Man”, which bookended the album. Their two follow-up LPs, Wind On the Water (1975) and Whistling Down the Wire (1976) were also hits.
