Historic Inn, Hotel, AnnapolisNew Year’s 2017 Eve in Annapolis promises to be a family-oriented event revolving around the “First Night” concept that gives attendees of all ages a safe and fun-filled atmosphere for celebration.

Annapolis’s celebration will begin at 3 p.m. on the sports fields located behind Maryland Hall and Bates Middle School. The activities will be wholesome, including colorful face painting, a challenging obstacle course, a moon bounce reaching for space, and rock music played by kids’ bands. Make sure to stick around for the fireworks show that starts at 5:30 p.m.

Later at 8:00 p.m., the festivities will resume with live music performances and crowds dancing at Susan Campbell Park and the City Dock, leading to the traditional countdown to 2017 and spectacular midnight fireworks.


All of this year’s New Year’s Annapolis events will be free of charge, and all are welcome. Badges or buttons will not be required to ring in 2017 in Maryland’s historic capital city.

Annapolis New Year’s Eve Entertainment Schedule

  • Family Friendly Entertainment – 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Early Bird Fireworks Display – 5:30 p.m.
  • Party on the Dock with Live Music – 8:00 to Midnight
  • Fireworks Spectacular! – Midnight


For the afternoon children’s activities: Please make note the address of the Maryland Hall and Bates Middle School: 801 Chase Street, Annapolis. All participants are welcome to park at the garage on 5 Park Place, where they can then take free shuttles arranged by the City of Annapolis that will transport people to and from the celebration.

For the evening events:  Susan Campbell Park, City Dock, Annapolis. Parking will be at the Annapolis City garages as listed below, and there will be a ride on the Circulator Trolley to City Dock.
