The Friends of Quiet Waters Park celebrate each summer by providing a terrific concert series at Annapolis’ most relaxing outdoor musical venue. The 2018 edition is shaping up to be very entertaining for all music lovers. The performances are scheduled for Saturdays in July and August. The Annual Summer Outdoor Concert Series opens Saturday, July 14 and closes on Sunday, September 2.
Quiet Waters Park is located at 600 Quiet Waters Park Road, Annapolis. Admission to the park is free during the concert evenings. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited in the park. Non-alcoholic drinks and food can be purchased during the concerts.
Make sure you bring your children to the Friends Table for temporary tattoos, bubbles, and other fun stuff for a small fee. Raffle tickets will be on sale for prizes, and all money raised will benefit the Friends of Quiet Waters Park.
First 5 Concerts of the 2018 Series
July 14 – Fractal Cat
This Baltimore band puts their emphasis on classic songwriting, strong vocals, and a multi-layered psychedelic sound. They are a six-piece rock ensemble that gets their inspiration from music legends like Buddy Holly and Smokey Robinson.
July 21 – Folken Phunk Band
An acoustic band playing folk to funk, Eddie Lightner (mandolin), Vincent Pierce Smith (percussion) and Russ Gottlieb (banjo) bring fun to their music.
July 28 – Channssez and his Band
Outstanding local artists will play exceptional music that you will love hearing. Get ready to hear classic tunes and dance for two hours straight.
August 4 – Clones of Funk
Envisioned and founded by Wesley Beann in 1989 as a tribute to the music of Parliament and Funkadelic, Clones of Funk are an 8-piece band that will get your feet moving and heart beating the whole show.
August 11 – Zakke
A nine-piece band from D.C., renowned for Latin Fusion Style and energetic performances, Zakke uniquely mixes Latin rhythms with Funk, Ska, Disco and Rock beats. Get ready to party and dance!
